AHF Pharmacy opens seventh location in California

LOS ANGELES Over the weekend, the AIDS Healthcare Foundation opened its newest AHF Pharmacy in West Hollywood, Calif. The pharmacy offers HIV/AIDS expertise, as well as free HIV testing and other health screenings. Most of the money made by the pharmacy will go toward providing HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment for those in need.

"We are pleased to open an 'AHF Pharmacy' in the heart of West Hollywood, offering expert HIV/AIDS pharmacy services, as well as free HIV testing and other medical screening services to the community," said Peter Reis, vice president of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation. "In addition to pharmacists who specialize in HIV/AIDS medications, the nonprofit AHF Pharmacy is fully equipped and able to fill any prescription—not only medications used to treat HIV/AIDS—and offers a unique alternative to the larger chain pharmacies. Ninety-six cents of every dollar made will go toward providing HIV/AIDS prevention and medical care to those in need in Los Angeles county and worldwide."

This is the seventh AHF Pharmacy to open in California.
