Amber Pharmacy receives ACHC accreditation

OMAHA, Neb. Amber Pharmacy has received accreditation from an independent peer-review organization for its specialty pharmacy services, Amber announced.

The Accreditation Commission for Health Care said that Amber has “met or exceeded” quality standards established to delivery specialty pharmacy services, which the organization defines as promoting organizational excellence and focus on patient safety, quality improvement and measurement of outcomes.

“We are extremely proud to have earned the ACHC accreditation,” Amber CEO William Kaplan said in a statement. “Our business has been built around core family values – integrity, respect, compassion and commitment.”

Amber, which has operated specialty pharmacy services for almost 15 years, specializes in transplant programs, working with more than 170 of the programs to manage around 15% of all transplant drug prescriptions dispensed in the United States.
