AmerisourceBergen inks new 5-year supply deal with Express Scripts

VALLEY FORGE, Pa. — AmerisourceBergen has signed a new five-year pharmaceutical supply agreement with Express Scripts. The companies on Monday announced that AmerisourceBergen would be supplying pharmaceuticals to Express Scripts through Sept. 30, 2022. The previous agreement, which began in 20212, was set to expire in September.

“Our businesses are aligned to provide the highest quality service to our pharmacies and the patients we are privileged to serve,” Express Scripts president and CEO Tim Wentworth said. “Together, we are working to deliver more cost-effective pharmacy care, which is needed now more than ever. We are proud to extend our relationship with AmerisourceBergen.”

AmerisourceBergen said that 2016 revenue contribution from its agreement with Express Scripts was roughly $23 billion.
