AmerisourceBergen partners with AssistMed to improve medication adherence among patients

LOS ANGELES AmerisourceBergen will use a set of cell phone and Web applications to increase medication adherence among patients under a new deal with developer AssistMed, AssistMed announced Thursday.

AssistMed will provide its medication adherence tools to US Bioservices, part of AmerisourceBergen Specialty Group, which will have the option to role them out among its pharmacists, patients, case managers and referring physicians.

“Promoting medication adherence is a cornerstone of pharmacy care,” AssistMed VP patient adherence solutions Adee Feinstein said. “US Bioservices has a clear vision of technology’s role in supporting patient care, and we are honored to be selected as a partner.”
