Ateb names former Fred’s exec VP pharmacy execution

RALEIGH, N.C. — Following its recent move into a larger headquarters, Ateb has announced the appointment of a new VP. The company named Shannon Strickland its VP pharmacy execution. Strickland will head up Ateb’s independent sales team and report to the company’s VP sales and marketing, Debbie Sheppard.

Strickland was most recently managing director of Fred’s Specialty Pharmacy and SVP pharmacy. He began his career at Fred’s as VP pharmacy development, overseeing all managed care contracting, pharmacy marketing, vendor relations, clinical services and medication purchasing and distribution. He has previously held positions at Walmart and Sam’s club, working as director of pharmacy operations for Georgia and Alabama.
