Aurobindo gets FDA approval for generic Namenda

DAYTON, N.J. — Aurobindo Pharma announced Thursday that it had received approval for its generic Namenda (memantine HCL) tablets. The drug is indicated to treat dementia related to Alzheimer’s disease, and will be available in 5- and 10-mg dosage strengths. 

 

The market size of the drug was about $1.23 billion for 12 months ended August 2015.
