Azova expands reach with Valu Merchandisers partnership
Digital health platform Azova is reaching new pharmacies through its recently inked partnership with Valu Merchandisers. The deal will bring Azova's marketplace — which offers access to pharmacy services, secure pharmacist and physician messaging and the ability to share records — to more 200 pharmacies nationwide under various brand names, the companies said.
“Offering trustworthy, reliable and unique digital health care solutions to our member pharmacies is our No. 1 priority,” said Bob Pessel, Valu Merchandisers vice president of pharmacy. “The decision to launch Azova supports our mission to deliver outstanding value-based care solutions across our pharmacies through a digital health technology that is easy-to-use and deploy.”
Pessel noted that Valu Merchandisers selected Azova because of its mobile healthcare platform offering. “Azova serves as a middleware between our various pharmacy systems and physician EMRs – and offers our patients an easy entry point to collaborate in their care.”
Azova senior vice president of enterprise sales and operations Ashton Maaraba said, “I had the privilege of meeting every pharmacy director that represent Valu Merchandisers brand pharmacies. I am thrilled to work with such an energetic group and their participating sites. Food-pharmacy combination stores often pursue a holistic approach and leverage pharmacy healthcare initiatives with total store health and wellness objectives. Azova helps to digitize and scale these programs. When it comes to Digital Healthcare the ultimate winner is the patient. This is an outstanding leadership team and we wholeheartedly thank them for their continued support.”
