WHIPPANY, N.J. — Bayer HealthCare announced earlier this week that its Finacea (azelaic acid) foam was now available in U.S. pharmacies. The drug, which gained FDA approval
in July, is indicated to treat papules and pustules associated with rosacea.
“The availability of Finacea Foam offers physicians and rosacea patients an additional treatment option," Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals VP and general manager James Robins said “In conjunction with the ongoing Rosacea Concierge program, we continue in our efforts to support those impacted by mild to moderate rosacea.”
Bayer is offering a payment assistance program for patients, which features a $0 co-pay on the first prescription and savings on refills.
