Benzer Pharmacy introduces employee wellness program

TAMPA, Fla. — Benzer Pharmacy announced Wednesday that it had begun a program encouraging its employees to be active and stay healthy. It joins the growing number of companies who have implemented employee wellness programa.

“Benzer Pharmacy realizes that employees spend the bulk of their days at the workplace and providing corporate wellness programs is a great way to engage employees,” Kirsten Becker, a certified personal trainer and Benzer Pharmacy Corporate Wellness Specialist, said. “A work environment that supports and encourages a healthy lifestyle through broad-based messaging and one that offers convenient and easily accessible wellness activities helps change and foster healthy habits.”

Becker will work with employees at Benzer Pharmacy’s corporate office, creating customized wellness programs to fit their needs and health goals. She will also give 30-minute classes with workouts for employees’ core, flexibility, agility, strength and balance.  The company will offer incentives for employees who progress toward or complete their wellness goals — including blood pressure, body mass index and cholesterol.
