Bledsoe listed as 'Hero of Health and Fitness' in Men’s Health magazine
LAS VEGAS One of the University of Nevada’s clinical professors of emergency medicine, Bryan Bledsoe, was pronounced one of Men’s Health magazine’s “Twenty Heroes of Health and Fitness,” in the cover story of the magazine’s 20th anniversary issue.
Bledsoe is a certified emergency physician. He is also a member of the University Medical Center in Las Vegas’ Department of Emergency Medicine. A former EMT, paramedic, and flight paramedic, Dr. Bledsoe is the author of numerous EMS educational textbooks and has nearly 1 million books in print. He is an active researcher and has written several scholarly studies on helicopter EMS. He was called “the rescuer” in the article for his work to curb excessive use of medical helicopters as well as investigating out safety issues and in the United States.
Bledsoe also has been recently named a “Hero of Emergency Medicine” by the American College of Emergency Physicians.
Also named among the 20 heroes of health and fitness: Lance Armstrong, Senator Barack Obama and Tiger Woods.
