Caraco reports record sales for Q2

DETROIT Caraco Pharmaceutical Laboratories had record sales for the second quarter and first six months of fiscal 2008, which ended Sept. 30, 2007.

In the second quarter, the company had net sales of $41.4 million and in the first six months of fiscal 2008 had sales of $76.8 million compared to $28.3 million and $53 million respectively for the periods of 2007.

Net income grew to $4.6 million and $13.1 million in the second quarter and first six months of fiscal 2008 compared to a net income of $2.3 million and $7.3 million respectively for the periods of 2007.
