Christie Boutte to join NACDS as director of Policy and Programs

ALEXANDRIA, Va. Industry veteran Christie Boutte has been hired by the National Association of Chain Drug Stores as director of Policy and Programs.

Boutte, who will serve NACDS as an expert on such healthcare programs as Medicare, Medicaid and the State Children’s Health Insurance Program, most recently held the position of clinical program manager for Medicare Part D administration at CIGNA HealthCare. Prior to that, she spent four years at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in the Office of Clinical Standards and Quality for Medicare, as well as the Center for Medicaid and State Operations.

“Christie’s background is ideally suited for her position,” said NACDS president and chief executive officer Steve Anderson. ”Her expertise will be a tremendous asset to NACDS, and we are very excited to have Christie on our team.”

After receiving her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Xavier University, Boutte worked as a pharmacist at several NACDS member companies. She will report to Julie Helm Khani, NACDS’ vice president of Federal Health Care Programs.
