Cigna Medical Group opens walk-in clinics
PHOENIX A company better known as a health insurer has opened two new walk-in clinics in Arizona.
Cigna Medical Group announced the opening of CMG CareToday clinics in Tolleson and Laveen, Ariz., bringing the total number of clinics to eight since CMG CareToday’s launch in 2006.
The clinics include nurse practitioners and physician assistants, offering care without appointments for patients including vaccinations and physicals and treatment for colds, flu, sore throat, bladder infections, pink eye and other illnesses.
“CMG CareToday is a convenient alternative that can accommodate local residents who may be unable to see their primary care doctor because of time or other issues,” Cigna Medical Group East Region and CMG CareToday director Corinne Bell said in a statement. “Expanding the number of CMG CareToday clinics provides residents with a place to go for non-emergency needs in the southwest valley.”
Most visits to the clinics cost $59, though the clinics are offering a special $29 for first-time visits, as well as $26 for flu shots and $10 for certain lab services.
