FLINT, Mich. — Diplomat Pharmacy on Wednesday announced its plan to host a video conversation — the first of its ‘Diplomat Dialogue’ conversations — in honor of National Cancer Survivors Day. “Diplomat Dialogue” events are conversations between patients and health care professionals focusing on a single patient in-depth.
“A specialty pharmacy serves the nation's most critically ill patients,” Diplomat CEO and chairman Phil Hagerman said. “Diplomat Dialogues are a new way for us to bring patients and professionals together, listen to these stories and find insights for us all.”
The event will take place on June 7, and feature a close look at the journey of one patient named Jay. Viewers will hear about how Jay coped with a cancer diagnosis and treatment, as well as ask questions.
“These dialogues offer a rare glimpse into this world, for anyone touched by disease,” Diplomat patient advocacy senior manager Brenda Hawkes, who will moderate the event and bring her unique perspective as a fellow cancer survivor, said. “We hope to offer a deeper look into what we do," she said, "and to inform and inspire others.”
