Discount Drug Mart launches discount Rx program
MEDINA, Ohio Discount Drug Mart recently announced its new generic prescription program, which started Oct. 29, that features hundreds of generic drugs at $3.99 for up to a 30-day supply and $9.99 for up to a 90-day supply, and requires no enrollment or hidden fees.
“As an Ohio-owned and operated company since 1969, Discount Drug Mart recognizes that the rising healthcare costs along with the downturn in the economy is taking its toll on our customers,” Pete Ratycz, vice president of pharmacy for Discount Drug Mart said. “Our company takes pride in our communities and our customers—when they are hurting, it’s time to help.”
The new program has been created to combat the rising cost of prescription medication—especially for those cash paying customers that have little or no insurance at all. Many people across America are feeling the impact of the economic tribulation with several indicating that they are reducing their prescription dosage on their own by cutting pills in half to make them last longer or eliminating drugs all together. “It’s a very scary fact that our customers are taking risks with their health to save money,” commented Doug Boodjeh, chief administration officer. “That’s why we’ve decided to implement this program and to constantly bring money-saving discounts to our customers every day.”
