Dr. Reddy’s launches generic Mirapex ER

HYDERABAD, India — Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories has announced the launch and FDA approval of its pramipexole dihydrochloride extended release tablets, a generic version of Boerhringer Ingelheim’s Mirapex ER. The drug is indicated for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease.

According to IMS Health, Mirapex had sales of $48.3 million in the 12 months ended June 2015. Dr. Reddy’s pramipexole dihydrochloride is available in 0.375-, 0.75-, 1.5-, 3- and 4.5-mg.
