Election analyst, professor Larry Sabato to address 2012 NACDS Annual Meeting

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The National Association of Chain Drug Stores has announced that election analyst and University of Virginia professor Larry Sabato will address attendees at the 2012 NACDS Annual Meeting on April 21 to 24 in Palm Beach, Fla.



Sabato will offer remarks to NACDS Annual Meeting attendees during the business program on Sunday, April 22. 



“During this presidential and congressional election year, it is only fitting to have Larry Sabato address the attendees of the NACDS Annual Meeting,” NACDS president and CEO Steve Anderson said. “Larry’s astute election forecasting and political analyses are really second to none.  We look forward to hearing his insights and predictions for the upcoming political season.”



Sabato is the founder and head of the University of Virginia’s Center for Politics, and is the author of more than 20 book and numerous essays on politics. He also spearheads “Sabato’s Crystal Ball,” a website providing detailed and updated analysis for elections nationwide. Sabato has received multiple awards and accolades including UVA’s highest honor, the Thomas Jefferson Award, has been a guest scholar at the Brookings Institution, Oxford University and Cambridge University.



He also has served on many national and state commissions, including the National Commission for the Renewal of American Democracy and the Senate Campaign Finance Reform Panel. Sabato has appeared on various news programs and is a regular contributor to National Public Radio.
