FDA approves Mylan's generic version of gallstones treatment
PITTSBURGH The Food and Drug Administration has approved Mylan’s generic version of a gastrointestinal drug, Mylan announced Tuesday.
The FDA approved Mylan’s ursodiol capsules in the 300 mg strength. The drug is used to treat gallstones.
The drug is a generic version of Watson Pharmaceuticals’ Actigall, which had sales of $30 million in 2009, according to IMS Health.
