Fruth scholarship golf tournament raises $24,000

POINT PLEASANT, W. Va. More than 130 golfers showed up for Fruth Pharmacy’s Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament on Aug. 7 at the Greenhills Country Club in Ravenswood, W.Va., Fruth announced Friday.

The golfers, who included 58 vendors and Fruth employees, raised more than $24,000 to fund scholarships at the University of Charleston School of Pharmacy, Marshall University, West Virginia University and the University of Rio Grande.

Fruth has operated retail pharmacies in southwestern West Virginia and southern Ohio since 1952.
