SANTA MONICA, Calif. and CREVE COEUR, Mo. —GoodRx and FocusScript on Thursday announced a partnership that will introduce the first compound pharmacy cash discount card program. The program will give patients access to pricing information and discounts on specific classes of compounded medication, and is aimed at bringing patients a consistent experience through a certified network of accredited and credentialed pharmacies.
“Compounded medications are among the most complex prescriptions consumers have the challenge of purchasing. With this new partnership, we are continuing our mission to make prescriptions more affordable for all Americans. We look forward to working with FocusScript to provide patients with the information they need to make better choices when it comes to their health care.”
The discount network will use the FocusScript Certified Network and FocusScript will certify new pharmacies interested in being included. FocusScript’s certified pharmacies are accredited through the UCAP program administered via a partnership with the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy.
“We are excited about the opportunity to work with GoodRx to ensure access to affordable compounding pharmacy for all consumers, while also assuring quality and excellence. We see this partnership as an important extension of our capabilities and in line with our mission to address small but significant pharmacy markets that have a disproportionate impact.”
The program will be made available in 2017.
