LYNCHBURG, Va. — Todd Hutsko, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare’s VP U.S. sales and interim chief customer officer is joining Fleet Laboratories as VP sales. Hutsko started work at Fleet Monday, reporting to CEO Rick Rizzo.
Before his role at GSK Consumer Healthcare Hutsko served as head of U.S. Sales for Novartis Consumer Health, which GSK acquired in 2014. At Novartis, Hutsko worked with retailers on sales strategies for re-introducing recalled products to the market. He also served as a board member of the National Association of Chain Drug Stores, where he was also part of the education subcommittee. He was the chair of the Consumer Healthcare Products Association’s retail liaison committee, where he developed a three-year business plan for the group.
Prior to his role as head of Novartis’ sales, Hutsko was VP sales for the company’s mass and club channel. He began his career in consumer healthcare at GSK Consumer Healthcare, where he was P sales and commercial planning for the company in Canada. Hutsko received his undergraduate degree from Troy University and was inducted into the schools Sorrell College of Business Hall of Fame.
