The Independent Pharmacy Alliance is celebrating its 31st anniversary representing independent community pharmacy. Since 1988, IPA’s mission is to provide business solutions and advocacy services to help independent pharmacies reduce their cost of goods, increase financial growth and help them continue providing quality patient care.
"IPA’s longevity is due to a commitment to member services. Whether a pharmacy needs to address problems with pharmacy benefits managers, government agencies or cost saving contracts, members know they will always receive great service," IPA stated.
“Thank you to all 3,150 plus members and contract suppliers that have helped make, and continue to make, our mission possible,” said John Giampolo, CEO of IPA. “I am grateful to our members and staff alike for helping IPA become one of the most successful independent pharmacy GPOs in the country. Our success is completely due to the support of our members and the hard work of IPA’s staff.”
"As a result of working together with our pharmacy group partners, New Jersey enacted new state laws such as the N.J. Maximum Allowable Cost Transparency law which requires reimbursement transparency and a PBM licensing law which gives the state regulatory authority over PBMs," IPA said.
