IPC adds Hamacher’s Rx Track-and-Trace compliance service to CAP program
Hamacher Resource Group and its Rx Track-and-Trace Compliance Service have been added to the Contract Advantage Plus, or CAP, program of Independent Pharmacy Cooperative.
CAP is a program that includes outside vendors IPC has partnered with to better serve their pharmacy members. As a CAP partner, HRG will provide IPC members with preferred rates for RTTCS.
IPC looks for quality programs and services to add to CAP that will help independent pharmacies remain competitive and improve their overall business operations.
“Our members are recognizing the significance of having a reliable track-and-trace solution in place to protect their pharmacy,” IPC vice president of purchasing and contracts Dean Slaugenhoup said. “HRG’s roots in independent pharmacy and longevity in the segment makes them a natural partner and a terrific option for our members.”
“We’re delighted to be accepted into the CAP program and work with our Wisconsin neighbor, IPC, to offer independent pharmacies a proven solution to meet the requirements of DSCSA. We’re looking forward to serving their member pharmacies that purchase prescriptions from more than one supplier, and relieving them of the burden of tracking and tracing prescription medication, and securely storing that information for the required six years,” group director of national accounts and member of the HRG owners group Tom Boyer said.
