Lupin launches generic Topicort, gets tentative OK for generic Cialis
Lupin has received the Food and Drug Administration’s approval for desoximetasone topical spray in a 0.25% dosage strength.
Lupin’s product is the generic equivalent of Taro Pharmaceuticals’ Topicort topical Spray 0.25%. It is a corticosteroid indicated for the treatment of plaque psoriasis in patients 18 years old or older.
The product has a market value of approximately $18.7 million, according to IQVIA data.
In a separate development, Lupin announced that it has received tentative approval from the FDA for a generic version of Eli Lilly’s Cialis (tadalafil) tablets in 2.5-mg, 5-mg, 10-mg, and 20-mg dosage strengths.
Tadalafil is indicated for erectile dysfunction; the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia; and erectile dysfunction and the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia.
The product has a market value of approximately $1949.2 million, according to IQVIA data.
