Manufacturers, retailers to come together at 2010 NACDS Marketplace Conference
ALEXANDRIA, Va. The National Association of Chain Drug Stores is seeking to deliver business opportunities and strategy for retailers and suppliers this June.
The pharmacy group's 2010 NACDS Marketplace Conference will join nearly 500 healthcare, personal care, baby care, cosmetics and fragrances manufacturers and more than 150,000 wholesaler, mass merchant, supermarket, and chain drug retail outlets at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego.
To better facilitate the supplier-retailer relationship and connection, the conference will also showcase “Meet the Retailer/How to Do Business With…” sessions. These sessions will offer an opportunity for suppliers to hear directly from retailers about effective strategies for taking their products to market. Among the topics to be explored during the conference is the innovative concept of, “What a shopper does?” This next generation of manufacturing, marketing and merchandising, which encompasses everything from product development to check-out, will be the topic of one of the Conference’s business programs, “The Path to Purchase.” A high-caliber panel will feature experts and retailers discussing the theory behind shopper marketing.
“The 2010 NACDS Marketplace Conference will deliver tremendous value to retailers and suppliers, and we are hearing a great deal of enthusiasm for the business opportunities that this event will present to participants,” said NACDS president and CEO Steve Anderson. “NACDS meetings and conferences are designed with our members’ priorities in mind, and they are focused on creating effective venues for collaboration, innovation and doing business.”
