McKesson reports spike in Q3 earnings

SAN FRANCISCO Pharmaceutical wholesaler McKesson Corp. reported an upswing in its third-quarter net income, compared with the year-ago period.

McKesson noted a net income of $326 million, or $1.19 per share, versus last year's $20 million loss, or 7 cents per share. The drug distributor also reported its revenue totaled $28.3 billion, an increase of 4.4% from last year's $27.1 billion revenue.

Shares of McKesson increased Tuesday at market closing rose 1.5% to $62.35.
