NEWTON, Mass. and DENVER — McKesson Health Solutions and TriZetto announced Monday that they would be integrating TriZetto’s QNXT enterprise core administration system with McKesson’s ClaimsXten and Claims Xten Select claims auditing solutions. The collaboration is aimed at helping payers automate payment and medical policy while simplifying management of complex clinical and reimbursement rules.
“McKesson has a long track record of investing in product integration strategies that help our clients successfully take advantage of new technology,” McKesson Health Solutions SVP Carolyn Wukitch said. “Building on our past success developing interfaces between McKesson ClaimsXten and TriZetto Facets, this integration with QNXT will help ensure smooth transitions — especially from McKesson ClaimCheck to ClaimsXten Select — and a viable growth path for health plans challenged with scaling mixed fee-for-service and value-based models to operational levels.”
Because there is a certification process already in place from previous integrations, quality and reliability of the interfaces between ClaimsXten and QNXT can be ensured prior to each new release, the companies said.
“Integrating our solutions optimizes the value of both systems,” TriZetto SVP payer product management Alan Stein said. “This new integration will help health plans boost auto-adjudication rates, reduce manual effort, and take advantage of industry-leading clinically sourced content to provide timely and consistent reimbursement of claims. We’re thrilled to be working with McKesson to bring these capabilities to our QNXT customers.”
