McKesson's case management service receives NCQA accreditation

WESTMINSTER, Colo. — McKesson announced on Thursday that the National Committee for Quality Assurance has awarded it Full Case Management Accreditation for its McKesson Vital Case Management service.



Delivered by McKesson Care Management, the case management service provides a multidisciplinary care team that works with individuals, their physicians and their caregivers to remove complex barriers to care and engage individuals in achieving their highest level of wellness and functional capability.



During the accreditation process, NCQA recognized McKesson Care Management for its processes, quality program and reporting, and care management electronic capture system. McKesson has been delivering integrated case management programs for the past six years.

McKesson Vital Case Management services provide a whole-person program that identifies and addresses barriers to care, closes gaps in care, enhances care team coordination, and helps prevent at-risk individuals from unnecessary hospitalizations and readmissions. In doing so, McKesson aims to help payers achieve their care management goals.
