Medco joins ranks of 'World's Most Admired Companies'

FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. A pharmacy benefit manager has scored a top spot in the healthcare category in a Fortune magazine’s list of top companies.

Fortune placed Medco Health Solutions at No. 1 within the health care: pharmacy and other services category in its annual "World’s Most Admired Companies" list for the third consecutive year, earning top rankings in the innovation, use of corporate assets, quality of management, financial soundness and quality of products and services criteria.

“We are honored to be ranked the highest of our industry peers,” Medco chairman and CEO David Snow said in a statement. “That ranking validates our commitment to leveraging the power of advanced pharmacy to provide clinical excellence for our members and drive down total healthcare costs for our valued clients.”
