NACDS rolls out mobile Web app

ALEXANDRIA, Va. The National Association of Chain Drug Stores has introduced a mobile Web-based application in line with its upcoming 2010 Marketplace Conference.

The app, NACDS said, was created to enhance and improve attendees' experience at the conference, which will be held this weekend in San Diego. The free download offers such detailed conference information as biographical information on speakers, an interactive map with routing information for booths, an exhibitor directory and a personalized show schedule.

“The new NACDS Marketplace Conference application is just one more tool in our communications toolbox to help us communicate effectively with the industry,” said Jim Whitman, NACDS SVP member programs and services. “The application provides a new and unique platform to leverage social media technology and create an even more vigorous conference experience that is consistent with our members’ priorities in creating effective tools for collaboration and innovation.”

The NACDS mobile app is compatible with most smartphone platforms, including Blackberry, Droid, iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices.
