Novartis releases generic version of Casodex
PRINCETON, N.J. Novartis’s generic drug arm has launched a version of an AstraZeneca drug.
Sandoz announced the introduction of bicalutamide tablets, USP in the 50 mg strength. The drug, used to treat prostate cancer, is a generic version of AstraZeneca’s Casodex.
Casodex had sales of about $319 million for the 12 months ended April 30, 2009, according to IMS Health data.
