Number of U.S. retail clinic openings surges; Walgreens in lead
NEW YORK Retail clinics have increased dramatically in the United States, and retail pharmacy chain Walgreens is the leader in the trend, the Chicago Tribune reported Thursday.
The chain operates almost 300 clinics around the country, and plans to have 400 by the end of next August. A total of 1,135 clinics operate nationwide, up from 1,104 at the beginning of November.
