Owen Mumford is releasing an insulin injection guide to better assist healthcare professionals in educating patients on healthy injection routines. Called “Injecting with Insulin: A Guide to Good Injection Technique,” the guide will be offered in both digital and print formats as early as this month.

The new guide contains helpful advice regarding injection site selection and rotation, as well as risk factors associated with pen needle reuse. Also included are tips for reducing pain during injection, factors influencing insulin absorption and the importance of blood glucose monitoring.
“We’ve developed two formats to maximize flexibility,” said Casey Pflieger, marketing director at Owen Mumford (USA). “The print version is designed to fit compactly in a patient’s meter kit, while the digital version can be easily downloaded and printed.”
Both digital and print formats are available for free to healthcare professionals. To download the digital version, please visit owenmumford.com/injectingwithinsulin.
