DURHAM, N.C. — Member-owned pharmacy cooperative American Associated Pharmacies has entered a group purchasing agreement with pharmacy technology company Parata Systems, the companies announced Monday.
“Parata's tireless devotion to helping pharmacies improve their businesses aligns well with AAP's goal to provide pharmacies with tools to enhance profitability, streamline operations, and improve the quality of patient care,” AAP VP preferred partners Tracie Heyrman said.
“Our partnership with Parata provides AAP members access to innovative automation solutions from an industry-leader known for their dedication to their customers' success.”
The agreement allows AAP’s more than 2,200 member independent pharmacies special pricing and pre-negotiated terms for pharmacy technology. Parata's offerings include such pharmacy automation choices as vial-filling and pouch packaging solutions, and its Parata PASS medication management suite is aimed at helping patients adhere to their medication regimens.
"We admire AAP's focus on helping their members strengthen and grow their businesses through the best services and the latest technologies," said Scott Hollis, Parata's vice president of sales. "Parata couldn't be more thrilled to offer our expertise to contribute to this mission."
