Parata plans new Durham HQ

DURHAM, N.C. — Pharmacy technology company Parata Systems on Thursday announced the beginning construction of its new Durham headquarters that the company’s manufacturing, distribution and corporate office to a single location.

 

The 100,000-sq.ft., two-story space is designed to promote collaboration among Parata employees across departments. It features a greater number of conference rooms than its current headquarters, larger collaboration areas and a central breakroom aimed at enabling company-wide events, Parata said. 

 

“This strategic move will bring all Parata business units under a single roof for the first time since 2007, after multiple acquisitions and bringing manufacturing in-house,” Parata CEO DJ Dougherty said. “Since then, Parata has received recognition for our thriving North Carolina-based manufacturing business and our industry-driven innovations in pharmacy technology and patient care. We believe uniting our team in a single location will make us even stronger.”

 

The new location will also offer a new Vision Center, an interactive space equipped with Parata’s pharmacy automation technologies that functions like a real-world pharmacy. Visitors will also be able to see the manufacturing floor through a wall of windows.
