Thrifty White will be expanding its partnership with pharmacy technology company PrescribeWellness, offering it to the Plymouth, Minn.-based chain’s independently owned pharmacy partners through Thrifty White's Affiliated Pharmacy Program.
The PrescribeCare platform simplifies the intervention process and supports chronic care management by providing the pharmacist with a single view of each patient, their medications and opportunities to engage. A seamless patient management platform and supporting tools enable Thrifty White to execute medication synchronization, immunizations, health screenings, disease state management, diabetes prevention, adherence management, medication therapy management, opioid management, and several other custom programs.
“Our partnership with PrescribeWellness will allow us to work together and support independent pharmacies across the country in a way that has never been done before,” said Thrifty White president and CEO Bob Narveson.
“This partnership will give Thrifty White affiliates access to many of the central processes that Thrifty White provides to its company-owned stores. As outcomes become more important, those best able to engage with the patient will win. Independent pharmacies are often the cornerstone of their communities, and this new relationship will further expand on their ability to connect with their patients and to promote healthy outcomes,” Narveson said.
The PrescribeWellness solution suite also helps pharmacists get paid for clinical services and participate in value-based payment models, such as shared savings and performance-based reimbursements. It offers information technology and automation tools to support reporting, coding, billing, collections, and other administrative tasks.
“Thrifty White has long been focused on driving quality outcomes and creating a better pharmacy experience,” said PrescribeWellness CEO Al Babbington. “This partnership will advance and support that vision, enabling even more independently owned pharmacies across the United States to go ‘beyond the fill’ by providing high-touch healthcare in their communities and remaining trusted members of the healthcare continuum.”
