Report: Oregon State Board of Pharmacy may reclassify marijuana
NEW YORK Marijuana's shift from public menace to prescribed medication has found its latest manifestation in the Pacific Northwest, according to published reports.
Portland, Ore., ABC affiliate KATU reported that the Oregon State Board of Pharmacy would have a public meeting Tuesday concerning the drug’s reclassification.
The state legislature recently passed a law that changes marijuana’s classification of one – which made it an illegal drug – to a classification of two to five, meaning it is a controlled substance recognized as having medical benefits, KATU reported.
