Retail health clinic Drexel Convenient Care Center opens

PHILADELPHIA Drexel University College of Medicine and the College of Nursing and Health Professions has opened a retail health clinic here at the Shops at Liberty Place.

According a local news report, the clinic, called the Drexel Convenient Care Center, will treat acute ailments such as allergies, skin problems, earaches and wart or skin tag removal. It will also offer diabetes and cholesterol screenings and blood sugar testing.

The center will be open Monday through Friday and no appointment is necessary. Visits cost $65.

According to the report, patients may be referred to nearby Drexel specialists for more serious illnesses or specialized tests, if needed.
