Retail vet Dan Haron to lead Cigna pharmacy
BLOOMFIELD, Conn. A retail pharmacy veteran has been named president of a global health service company's pharmacy management division.
C. Daniel Haron has been named president of Cigna pharmacy management, replacing Eric Elliott. Haron, who is a licensed pharmacist with a wide range of both pharmacy and leadership experience, joined Cigna in 2007 as VP operations for Cigna tel-drug home delivery pharmacy.
Haron graduated from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, after which he held positions of increasing responsibility at People's Drug Stores, CVS/pharmacy, Arrow Prescription Centers and Brooks and Eckerd Pharmacy before joining Cigna.
"Dan is uniquely prepared to step into this important leadership role taking our pharmacy business to the next level of excellence," said David Cordani, Cigna CEO.
