Rite Aid announces contest to encourage enrollment in refill program

9/4/2008

CAMP HILL, Pa. To encourage patients to sign up for its new Automated Courtesy Refill program, Rite Aid is giving those who enroll a chance to win a 2008 Chevy Malibu Hybrid car and $3,000 in gas gift cards, the company announced Thursday.

“We do everything we can to help our customers take care of themselves, and that includes ensuring they take their prescriptions as directed and have them filled through one pharmacy so all prescriptions may be checked for interactions,” stated Mark de Bruin, Rite Aid executive vice president. “This program is about safety as well as convenience, and for one lucky winner this sweepstakes sure will make traveling easier.”

The Automated Courtesy Refills Sweepstakes will run Sept. 1 through Dec. 31. The free courtesy refill program automatically fills a prescription before it runs out. Rite Aid will call customers when prescriptions are ready for pick-up. The drug store also will contact a customer’s physician for prescription renewals.

Every prescription filled with Rite Aid’s Automated Courtesy Refills gives the customer another entry in the sweepstakes drawing.

There will be one prize winner of the Chevy Malibu Hybrid valued at more than $26,000 and $3,000 in gas cards. The winner will be drawn at the close of the contest.
