Rite Aid offering free 30-day generic prescription for new members
CAMP HILL, Pa. Rite Aid on Monday sweetened the pot on its Rite Aid Rx Savings Card offering across its store base in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina, with a free 30-day generic prescription offering for new members.
“The continuing economic crisis has caused many Americans to lose their jobs and their health insurance,” stated Bill Wolfe, Rite Aid group VP pharmacy. “Even many who are steadily employed are without insurance,” he said. “The Rite Aid RX Savings Card offers the best overall value to our uninsured patients, those without coverage for certain drugs and those who have reached their benefit limits.”
Through June 30, patients can get one free 30-day generic drug prescription from a list of more than 300 of the most commonly prescribed maintenance generic drugs when signing up for the free program, Rite Aid announced.
Patients already signed up for the card also are eligible for one free 30-day prescription of the select generics with a new, refilled or transferred prescription, the company added.
Rite Aid fields 212 drug stores in the Georgia market, 247 in North Carolina and 106 stores in South Carolina.
