SDM acquires seven Centre d'Escomptes Racine in Quebec

TORONTO Shoppers Drug Mart on Tuesday announced that Pharmaprix, its wholly-owned subsidiary, in conjunction with a licensed pharmacist, has acquired seven Centre d'Escomptes Racine stores, a pharmacy chain in the Quebec marketplace.

Prior to the acquisition, Pharmaprix had two stores in the Quebec region, the seventh largest census metropolitan area in Canada. The location and size of these newly acquired assets compliments Pharmaprix’s growth strategy and is consistent with its focus on adding high quality, large-format stores, the company stated.
