Some Canadian pharmacists to start prescribing refills

VANCOUVER, Canada Soon, pharmacists in British Columbia will be able to make medication decisions traditionally reserved for doctors.

The new service, negotiated by the British Columbia Pharmacy Association and the provincial Health Ministry starts in January and is similar to one that began in Alberta last year. Use of the service will require a small fee for customers.
