Southeastern Grocers names new VP pharmacy

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Southeastern Grocers on Tuesday announced a new addition. The company has tapped Gayle Shields to be its new VP pharmacy. In her new role, Shields will oversee day-to-day and strategic operations for the company’s pharmacy locations. 

 

“I am delighted that Gayle has joined Southeastern Grocers given her wealth of experience within the pharmacy and grocery industries, both within the United States and overseas,” Southeastern Grocers  COO Anthony Hucker said. Before joining Southeastern Grocers, Shields was VP pharmacy at Ahold USA, overseeing operations for 580 pharmacies in 11 states, serving in the position for five years. She has also held various positions for such companies as Allied Health, Maxor National Pharmacy Services Corp., Save Mart, Albersons and Discover Health, among ohers.
