Students celebrate Pharmacy Day in Olympia, Wash.
OLYMPIA, Wash. The state capitol of Washington got a visit from pharmacy students from both ends of the state last Tuesday.
Students from the schools of pharmacy at the University of Washington, in Seattle, and Washington State University, in the eastern Washington town of Pullman, converged on the Capitol Campus in Olympia, Wash., for the annual Pharmacy Day.
The students and pharmacists had meetings with individual state legislators and briefings from state health secretary Mary Selecky and state senator and pharmacist Linda Evans-Parlette. The students also performed healthcare screenings for staff and legislators.
