Sun subsidiary to hold off on buying remaining shares of Taro

MUMBAI, India Sun Pharmaceutical Industries subsidiary Alkaloida Chemical Company has extended the expiration date of the tender offer to purchase all outstanding ordinary shares of Taro Pharmaceutical Industries, Sun announced Friday.

The new expiration date is Nov. 7 at 5 p.m., Eastern Standard Time. Sun extended the offer to comply with a continuing order issued by the Supreme Court of Israel temporarily prohibiting closing the offer.
