9/17/2008

Take Care Health Systems, which is owned by Walgreens, has announced the opening of five additional in-store clinics at Walgreens stores in the Atlanta area. The openings mark the second stage of a multi-phase expansion plan in the greater Atlanta area.

There are currently 21 Take Care clinics in the region. In total, there are 229 clinics in 29 markets in 15 states.

“Take Care Health has treated more than 675,000 patients nationwide since November 2005. Residents throughout the Atlanta area are some of those patients that have embraced this high-quality health care service,” stated Lillian Williams, lead nurse practitioner for the Atlanta market. “As a result, we’ve added five new clinics to the 16 clinics we opened last year, giving Atlanta-area residents greater access to convenient and affordable health care.”
