Teva intros generic Xopenex inhalation solution

NORTH WALES, Pa. — Teva Pharmaceuticals on Thursday announced the availability of levalbuterol inhalation solution, USP (concentrate), a generic equivalent to Xopenex inhalation solution concentrate. 

 

"Our customers count on Teva for a continuous supply of new generic products,” said Maureen Cavanaugh, SVP, U.S. generics sales and marketing. “With the launch of Levalbuterol Inhalation Solution (Concentrate), we add another quality product to our broad line of affordable generic pharmaceuticals.”

 

According to the company, the drug is used to treat or prevent bronchospasm in adults, adolescents and children 6 years of age and older with reversible obstructive airway disease.
