Thrifty White expands Diplomat agreement to bring specialty to affiliate pharmacies

5/25/2016

PLYMOUTH, Minn. — Thrifty White Pharmacy announced recently that it had partnered with Diplomat Pharmacy to expand their current specialty agreement to include Thrifty White’s affiliate pharmacy program. The expansion will allow affiliate pharmacies to provide full-service specialty pharmacy support to complex patients, including 24/7 pharmacist access.

“This offering is another example of how our company is 100% focused on medication adherence and exceeding the expectations of our patients, helping them simplify their lives and controlling their overall health spend,” Thrifty White president and CEO Bob Narveson said.

As part of the affiliate program, pharmacies can get accredited for specialty by the Center for Pharmacy Practice Accreditation, allowing affiliates to meet requirements to access various payer networks and medications. Additionally, once a pharmacy is enrolled in the affiliate network program, Thrifty White provides marketing and sales support to help ensure independent pharmacy owners have the tools to build their specialty business.

“Building a successful specialty pharmacy program requires layers of investment on top of being able to offer services, “ Thrifty White specialty pharmacy director Jeremy Faulks said. “Our affiliate model ensures independent pharmacies are not only able to offer specialty services, but have the tools necessary to engage in their communities, creating local relationships and maximizing their growth.”
