Progresso Toppers add tasty toppings to soup

There’s a whole new way to enjoy soup — minus a kitchen mess.

Progresso Toppers look to bring the taste of classic soups, with an added crunchy topping, to consumers’ homes.

The microwaveable soups, which come in tubs, contain everything from oyster crackers to tortilla strips, and are made using quality ingredients, the Minneapolis-based company said.

“We know families are preparing more food than ever at home in these past six months,” Chris Borges, senior brand manager ay Progresso at General Mills, said. “So, we wanted to share an easy meal solution for consumers working at home, parents who are busy with kids, and people who are looking for something that’s delicious without the mess. With this new offering, Progresso is excited to offer our classic soups with tasty toppings for an extra crunch that’s big on flavor when you’re short on time.”

Available in five varieties — chicken noodle with oyster crackers, tomato basil with cheddar crackers, broccoli cheese with oyster crackers, loaded potato with fried onion strings, and chicken tortilla with tortilla strips — consumers can find the soups on the shelves of select retailers across the country.
